A Deep Dive into IW’s Past: Oops, Entered Early

Ayo Ice Warriors!

In today’s post, I am going to take a deep dive into Ice Warriors’ history. We will explore one of the most important and longest tournament battles: March Madness 2020. A lot of our current troops/staff weren’t here for the 2020 tournament, so today we are going to take a look at how it all went down. Continue reading to learn about the rigged tournament against none other than the Doritos.

The Beginning

There was a rollercoaster of events during March Madness 2020. The tournament was hosted during the Club Penguin Online Puffle Party, which made all the rooms decorated. These decorations were very unfortunate for armies. Even with this, the show would still go on. Ice Warriors first went against Kiwis (who dropped out of the competition) and then the Instrumentalists on March 29th, 2020, winning both battles. On April 5th, it was time for the Final Four, Ice Warriors versus Doritos of CP. This was one of the biggest battles in Ice Warriors history. With no doubt, the warriors maxed 165 penguins online. Now compare that max, our greatest max ever at the time, to DCP’s 120 max.

However, we didn’t win that easily. This battle went on to have FIVE rooms, the first three were the Mine, Forest, and Gift Shop. After that, the judges decided there needed to be overtime rooms, which were the Stadium and Pizza Parlour. One of the reasons for the overtime rooms was claims that Ice Warriors “entered early” in Stadium.  This is what the “Oops Entered Early” medal refers to. It also refers to Madhav who had disconnected from the game. Once he logged back on, the game had put him in the Stadium, which happened to 3 other Ice Warriors and 4 Doritos too. After the claims of IW entering early, the slogan “Oops Entered Early” started popping up around IW and became an inside joke for the army.

Oops, Entered Early!

After battling in the Pizza Parlour, the Ice Warriors waited for over 30 minutes for the results. Somehow, the battle was declared a DCP win. What? After the results came out, evidence was released that showed DCP rigging the battle. The news led to turmoil in the army community and Ice Warriors wanted a rematch.

Final Four, Part 2

With a bunch of evidence that DCP was cheating out in the open, the idea of a rematch was not out of the question. The rematch was accepted later on and March Madness resumed on July 30th, this time on Club Penguin Armies since CPO had been shut down. To no surprise, IW maxed 101 penguins online. Imagine that, 100+ penguins to BOTH events. Ice Warriors completely obliterated the Doritos and easily won 3-0. This was a big win for the Ice Warriors.

In the end, IW got the final they deserved. A final against Dark Warriors, where the two brother allies fought it out on August 4th. Both Dark Warriors and Ice Warriors did amazing during the battle, but after all the blood, sweat, and tears, Ice Warriors ended up taking home the trophy.

How does March Madness end in August?
