Ice Warriors of CP

As we drove on the open road it started to snow. All the pine trees we’re covered in white, fluffy snow, you could barley see the leaves. It was peaceful and beautiful. All I could think about is my dad. The sound of the gun was stuck in my head. My thoughts were interrupted by Icey.

”Mara take a look. We’re here.”

I couldn’t see much, but as we passed by the hills, I saw a small building. It didn’t look like much just a grey, square shaped building. It was surrounded by the mountains, no one could spot it unless they knew it was here. As we got closer I started seeing kids and teenagers training together.

”What is this place?” I asked with curiosity.

”This is the Ice Warriors central,home of many.” Icey answered.

”The Ice Warriors?”

”I’ll tell you more once we get inside”

In the front of the building there we’re kids training with teachers. Different skills,different tactics.As we passed by people we’re looking at me.Some with a smile some looked confused. Icey parked around the back and we got off the motorcycle.

”Come on Mara, I’ll show you around.”

I looked up at the building and followed Icey.

“This is the Ice Warriors building. Me and some of the first people here found it. It was abandoned so we did what we could to make it a suitable home.”

”A home for who?”

”Orphans. Like you, like me, like everyone else here. Everyone has a different story to tell but the one thing in common is that they are alone in this world. I made this group to give them a home,to teach them, to show them how to protect themselves against the Light Troops.”

”Why did you come to save me?”

”I was spying on the Light Troops. I never knew I would find you, but it’s a good thing I was there, otherwise you would have became their puppet.”

As we walked down the hallway someone came around the corner. He was dressed with a blue jacket and black jeans. He had brownish-black hair and he kept a straight face while approaching us.

”Icey, Sir! Did the mission go as planed?” he asked with a nervous voice.

”Yes, Albert.It went just fine, I will tell you details later.”

As Icey said it, Albert looked at me quickly. Then he turned to Icey again.

”New recruit?”

”Yes, she was attacked by the Light Troops.”

Albert looked at me again and raised his hand. We shacked hands as he said.

”Welcome to the Ice Warriors. I’m Albert, second in command.”

”I’m Mara. Um….”

”Warrant Officer” Icey quickly added.

”Congratulations on your rank,” Albert said as he let go of my hand and he continued his way down the hallway.

After he left I looked at Icey with a confused look on my face.

”Warrant Officer?”

”Yes that is your new rank. In here we keep ranks to have more order. A lot of people here some more experienced then others.The more training you have the more closer you get to a higher rank.”

”And what rank are you?” I asked

Icey smiled a bit and answered me.

”I’m the leader, the founder of this group”

I thought for a second and asked,

”Soo…do I have to call you sir?”

”Not needed, just call me Icey,” he said laughing.

Soon he opened a door to a room. It was small. The walls were a clear white colour with a big window in the middle. There we’re two beds and shelves next to them on the opposite sides of the room. There was a bathroom door and not much. I sat on the bed on the left part of the room. As I looked around I heard Icey saying,

”Madison, just the person I wanted to see. This is our new recruit Mara and your new room-mate.”

As I turned around I saw a girl. She had long black hair and green eyes. She was wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans.

”A new recruit? That’s great,” the girl said with a smile on her face.

”Mara I’m going to leave you for now. I will make sure you are brought clean clothes by tomorrow. You get some rest and if you need something ask Madison.”

Icey walked away and closed the door.The girl sat on the bed in front of me and looked at me.

”Soo…did you get a rank or are you still waiting?” she asked

”A rank, um oh yes Icey said I’m Warrant Officer”

”A Warrant Officer? Wow that’s really great for a new recruit. He must believe you have skills. Make yourself at home. You can start training whenever you want.”

”Training? For what?”

”This is war. It’s better if you train to be prepared for anything. Icey want’s us to be prepared to learn, to teach, so we have a chance against Light Troops one day. Anyway, it’s getting late you better get some rest. Tomorrow you will be introduced to the others.

I looked outside the window and I noticed it was already dark. I felt very tired after what happened today. I felt grateful that Icey saved me, but I still couldn’t forget my father.

”Well goodnight,” Madison said while turning the lights off.

”Yeah, goodnight”

I laid down in bed and tried to fall asleep. That was the only thing I could do for now.

Hey guys! This part is a bit different. I did some changes for the better. Just to let you know. Hope you enjoy the story so far.
