Ice Warriors of CP

Another night passed and another day came. I was even more pumped for today’s lesson. After skill class training and of course after I punched Chris I felt more confident. Today I was going to have a shooting lesson with Aqua. I was nervous. Aqua seemed like he was a very strict person. After breakfast I met up with some friends that I met yesterday at skill class and we went together to the back yard. Aqua was there polishing some guns.

”Hello Aqua! Good to see you.” I said

”Hi Mara. Hope you can handle today’s training. Hears you did a good job with skills, but we will see if you can shoot.”

”I’ll do my best Aqua.”

As the troops started to pile up Chris came. It seemed like our schedules matched for today as well. She looked at me but didn’t come close. She had a scar on her lip, it was from the punch. Aqua saw her.

”Chris, what’s with the scar?”

I looked at Chris and she looked at me back. She knew she couldn’t tell Aqua no matter how much she wants to or the deal was off and everyone wold know the truth. At first I felt bad but Chris had to be tought a lesson. She turned around and looked at Aqua.

”Oh, it’s nothing. I tripped outside and I hit my lip on a rock.”

”Well be more carefull or you will lose your head to a rock one day.” Aqua said as he walked alway.

”Alright troops, welcome to shooting class. The rules are simple. You listen to my orders and do what I say. If you do that you will learn how to shoot, if you don’t you will leave this class and probably get shot by a light troops in battle. The gun isn’t a toy, it’s not something you can just shoot with in every direction without thinking. The shots are limited. You have to stop, aim and shoot at the right time and place.”

Aqua was talking fast and right after he said that he turned around and shot a pine cone from a tree that was on top of a tree without even thinking. At that moment the only thing that came to my mind was ”Wow”.

”This is a very simple gun. It’s perfect for beginners. You see those dummies with targets? These are the enemies. They are attacking and you have nothing else then a gun. Shoot them before they get the chance to shoot you!”

Everyone stood in silence and was concentrated on Aqua’s words.

”Well what are you waiting for? Grab a gun and shoot those bastard down. GO GO GO!”

Everyone ran to get a gun and stood in front of a dummy. After we took places we started shooting. I was more nervous than ever. I had never held a gun before. My aim wasn’t that great, I could barely even hold the gun streight. Aqua watched us for a while and after a couple of more shots he yelled.

”Enough!”

He got closer to the targets and checked how everyone did.

”Good job you hit him in the stomach once but once isn’t enough he could have shot you with his last breath in the back while you think he’s dead” He told one of my friends.

”The middle? That’s great dude, but while you were taking your time to aim the enemy would have shot you 6 times in the head and ran away to start a family.” Aqua told another troops.

”Chris I’ll be honest with you. I’ve seen old grandmothers shoot better than you, but your speed could be useful.”

”Mara…”

At that moment I felt pressure. I was nervous after the comments to the other troops.

”You did decent, but decent isn’t good enough.”

”Well that was almost as disappointing as my class from yesterday but oh well. Now leave the guns and start running.”

Everyone stared at Aqua for a while.

”What are you looking at? Twenty laps around the building.NOW!”

We started running. Aqua had an interesting way of teaching, but I guess he is just getting us ready for extreme situations. At least I tought so. After the 16th lap we were exhausted. Just when we tought it’s soon going to be over dummies started popping out of the bushes. And no that wasn’t it. Aqua was shooting at us.

”You’re being attacked! Think fast.” Aqua said yelling at us.

Everyone panicked including me. But then I realised Aqua didn’t go crazy, well attests completely. He was testing us and I got an idea.

”Everyone! Get the guns now.” I yelled.

We were headed for the guns and soon each of us had one in their hand.

”Shoot the dummies!” I said.

Everyone started shooting. We had no choice then to shoot streight at the right moment while avoiding Aqua’s gun shots. Everyone ran at the dummies and shot from a distance. Soon the ”enemy” was down and Aqua stopped shooting. We were tired so we gathered up.

”Well done troops, well done. The enemy was neutralised.” Aqua told us.

”Are you INSANE? Why would you SHOOT at us? I asked with anger.

”Training Mara. You shot better than ever.” Aqua said as he turned around and was headed to the IW building.

”But how did you know you wouldn’t shoot any of us by accident.”

”I didn’t” Aqua said as he walked away.

”Oh and if you yell at me again you’re fired. dismissed!”

We were speechless. We just looked at him leave.

”Aqua is crazy.” said my friend.

”Yes he is. But he’s a good teacher.” I said as I smiled to my friend.

”You’re mad Mara.”

”Indeed, but madness keeps me alive!. Now let’s go back inside and get some coke.” I told everyone as I left the gun on the table and we were headed inside.
