Ice Warriors of CP

As the sun came out I jumped and woke up in fear. I had a nightmare. The death of my father was the only thing stuck in my head. I couldn’t get rid of the guilt.  I was there and I did nothing.

”Bad dream Mara?” Madison asked.

”Yeah, it’s nothing,” I answered silently.

”Well you better get ready. You will be introduced to the owners. By the way here’s some new clothes for you.” Madison said as she handed them to me. There was a blue T-shirt, a black jacket, dark blue jeans and a red scarf.

”I added in the scarf. I thought it would look nice on you.”

”Thank you Madison”

”Just call me Madi”

”Alright, Madi”

I got ready. I put on the new clothes and brushed my hair. I really liked the scarf Madi gave me. I didn’t know what to expect, who I was going to meet, what was I going to do from now on, but I know that somehow here I felt like home. Madi and I walked out of the room and went across the hallway. There was no one. Everyone seem to have went somewhere.

”We’re going to the cafeteria that’s where everyone meets up.”

We came to two doors. I stopped and looked at them.

”No worries Mara, It’s going to be fine.”

I took a deep breath and went through the doors. I couldn’t believe what I saw. So many people sitting together, I have never been this nervous. Some people looked at me, others  just didn’t pay attention.

”Hey Madi why is everyone wearing something blue?” I asked curiously

”It’s something like our uniform, you wear something blue then everything else can be what you want.” Madi answered.

”Alright then.”

I saw Icey sitting on a table with Albert and some other people. We walked to them as Icey stood up.

”Hello Mara.  How are you feeling today?” he asked.

”Not so good, but I’ll handle it.”

”Mara I would like to introduce you to the Ice Warriors owners. At least the ones that are here. You already know Albert. This is Cece, Honk and Aqua. Gill and Gordy are sent on a mission to figure out some things about the LT. Anyways, why don’t you sit here with us for now?”

”What about Madi?”

”Oh, I’m gonna go meet up with some of the others. See you later Mara.”

I said goodbye to Madi and sat on the table and looked at the others. I was silent for a while, until someone decided to speak.

”Evening sport. How are ye?” someone asked with a British accent. I looked at him. He had a very unique look. He was wearing cargo trousers and a monocle.

”Oh, hello. I’m fine thank you. How about you?”

”Staying strong. I’m Honkzo, but you can call me Honk”

”I’m Mara. Nice to meet you Honk,”

”Hey there, I’m Cece” said a girl’s voice. She had brown hair and was wearing a blouse.

”Hello Cece.”

”My name Is Aquabluejet.” someone said with a serious voice. He had black hair and was wearing a very dark blue hoodie.

”Well now that everyone is introduced  let’s sit down and eat. Mara take some pizza, you must be hungry.” Icey said

I took a bite out of the pizza. It wasn’t the best pizza in the world but it was still good. As I silently sat not knowing what to say Aqua spoke.

”Any news from Gill and Gordy?”

”No, unfortunately.” answered Alb.

”Hope they are alright,” Cece said with a worried voice.

”They’re strong fellas, they can handle themselves” Honk said.

”So, Mara. Are you joining us in training today?” Aqua asked.

”Come on Aqua she just got here. And her father passed always yesterday” Icey interrupted.

”I think I will join training. I need to get my head out of what happened.

”As you wish.”

”So what is this training about anyway?”

”Well each one of the owners is a different teacher here. You learn how to protect yourself in battle.” Icey explained.

”So this is like an army?”

”Not exactly, but something like that. You have to be able to survive in war. The Light Troops have no mercy, no matter what age you are.” Aqua answered.

”Alright then Aqua. When do we start?”

”Be in the yard in 30 minutes”

”Ok, I’ll be there. Now if you excuse me I will go back to my room for now.”

”Do you want Madi to escort you?” Icey asked

”No I’ll be fine don’t worry.”

”See you later then”

I walked through the doors. I wanted to go back to my room and rest until training, but my curiosity made me look around. I walked around the building. It was mostly rooms for troops. Then I saw a  big blue door on the end of the hallway. I went to it and knocked on the door. No one answered. I opened it slowly and walked inside. It was a room with blue walls. It had bookshelves and a desk. On the desk I saw a snow globe. It had a small penguin inside. I got closer to get a better look at it.

”Do you like that?” a voice said behind me. I quickly turned around and saw Icey walking in.

”I’m sorry Icey, I didn’t mean to come in. I didn’t know this is your room. I’m going to go sorry.”

‘It’s fine. Hey,why don’t you take the snow globe?”

”What? No, I can’t it’s yours.”

Icey picked up the snow globe and handed it to me.

”It’s alright. I’m giving it to you as a welcome present, ok?”

I took the snow globe and thanked Icey. In some way he reminded me of my dad.

”Now go get ready for training. It’s going to be your first time, but I’m sure Aqua wont take it easy on you.”

”Ok see you later Icey.”

I walked out the door and I was headed for my room.
