”My name is Mara.”
”Why would you attack a Death Tank. Are you crazy?” the boy asked.
”Yeah we’re crazy but that’s not the reason. We could use it for supplies. And what are you two doing here?” I said
”We live here, our parents died and we try to survive on our own.”
”Oh don’t be such a baby Ethan.” the girl said.
”I told you to call me Tes, Alicia.” the boy raged.
”Well…Tes and Alicia would you like to come with us.”
”Yes.” said Tes.
”No.” Alicia said along with her brother.
They started arguing and getting mad at each other.
”We don’t need help tes”
”Yes we do Alicia we’ll starve here.”
”I don’t want any help”
” Hold on guys. How about you come with us and if you don’t like it you can come back here. Sounds good?”
”Fine.” they said in one voice.
”Ok so this is Icey, Alb and Jojo.”
”We have no time for introducing ourselves. More LT could come any second. Mara and Alb you ride your motorcycles back along with Alicia and Tes, me and Alb will put ours in the Death Tank and ride it back to base.”
”Alright Icey.” I said.
Tes was on Jojo’s motorcycle and Alicia was on mine.
”Soo why do you and Tes argue like that?” I asked.
”You would know if you had an annoying twin brother.”
”Twins…why couldn’t I have saved a cat and a dog instead.” I tought to myself.
We drove back to base. the Death Tank weighted tons but it was almost as fast as our motorcycles. As we drove back we saw Aqua outside with the troops. He was making them do push ups. We drove to the garage and Icey parked the death outside. He and Alb came out of it.
”We brought you a toy Aqua. Have fun fixing it!” Icey said.
Aqua just stared at the death tank for a while and he went in. Icey walked up to the twins.
”You two can come to my office.”
They went inside. Lion came. He looked tired.
”Mara good thing you are here. Aqua has been training us for hours.”
”Well you have to train hard in order to be in shape.”
”Can I take a brake.”
”Sure, but don’t forget you have to help with building the weapons later.”
”Ok see you later Mara.”
I walked inside. I was very tired and I was header for my room. I saw Alicia coming.
”Hey umm…Mara was it? Icey wants to see you in his office.”
”Now?”
”Ya he said it was important”
”Ok, I guess no rest for me.”
I went to Icey’s office and walked in.
”You wanted to see me?”
”Yes Mara, sit down. Well today was very successful, we even got new recruits, but there’s one problem. We don’t have much room left.”
”What do you mean Icey.”
”We’ve found a lot of lost and injured troops for the past month and we’re running out of rooms.”
”So we can’t take the twins?”
”Well theres room for tes but…”
”But?”
”Alicia has to be your roommate.”
”What? Icey you know that…”
”I know it has been hard for you since Madi’s death, but don’t you think it’s time to get over it and continue. She would have wanted you to do that.”
”You know you can never replace Madison as my roommate or as my friend.”
”I’m not asking you to replace Madi, I’m asking you to help out someone lost, with no family and no friends. Just like I helped you.”
I was silent for a moment and tought about what Icey just said.
”Ok Icey I will…”
”Good. Now go rest. We may have finished this mission but there’s more to come.”
”Alright, see you soon.”
I walked out Icey’s office. I could finally get some rest. I walked in my room and sat on the bed. Before I can lie down someone came in. It was Alicia.
”Sorry wrong room.” She said.
”No it’s not the wrong one.” I answered.
”I’m searching for the room I’m suppose to stay in and this is apparently your room.”
”Yes It’s my room,but It’s yours as well. We don’t have a lot of spare rooms so we will have to be roommates.”
”Seriosly, well great…” Alicia said as she closed the door and walked in
”It wasn’t my idea. you never know what Icey’s crazy mind can think of.”
Alicia laughed but she tried not to show it.
”Why are there so many people here anyway?”
”We’re all training and want to fight the LT. We have a connection. We’re all lost, alone, with no families. like you and your brother.”
”Never tought there were others like us.”
”Yeah I didn’t either.”
I layed on my bed and fell asleep. I woke up at sunrise, Alicia was still sleeping. I got ready and I was about to go out.
”Why the hell are you up so early?” Alicia asked as she woke up.
”I have work to do.”
”Working this early? you really are crazy.”
I walked out the door and went to train outside. As I was doing laps around the building I saw Alb. I stooped to talk to him.
”Hey alb what’s up?”
”Nothing Mara I’m jus concerned.”
”For what?”
”We got LT’s tank and they may look for it and attack early.”
”Hmm you have a point.”
”I talked to Icey and we’re thinking of sending another team to spy on Lt’s main base.”
”Not a bad idea but who?”
”Well we were thinking you should go.”
”What? Me? I’m just a member Alb.”
”That’s another thing we were thinking of promoting you to moderator, but you have to do the mission. you can handle it.”
”I never knew you guys counted on me so much. I will do the mission. Who will come with Jojo, Aqua or maybe Gordy he’s out of the infirmary right?”
”You will go with the twins.”
”The twins? Really? Ok stop joking who am I going with?”
”I am serious. this is a good opportunity to train them. they said they have been to he base before, and you can use this to prove your leadership skills.”
”Oh great…”
”You will leave tomorrow Mara, you can do it.”
Alb walked away. I was surprised that they gave me such a big task. Icey was obviously testing me if I’m good enough for moderator. I had to lead a team into Lt base it’s self. Not just any team, but the twins that can argue every five minutes. I felt the pressure hit me in the face once again.

The Tale Of Mara (PART 13)

”My name is Mara.”
