I yell at Lucille as she accidentally steps on the sensor. The alarm began to flare as we dash for the exit. The penguins have found us. We must get out of here fast, or we will be sent to the human concentration camps in Antarctica. Volgograd, now Pengograd, is the capital of the menacing penguin empire. Gaining that quantum leap and introspection, they viewed humans as the evil mammals that have tainted their society.

They easily overtook the war torn South America and crushed the American army. With no hope, every country began forming an alliance to combat this imminent threat. Unfortunately, the penguins were able to outsmart the humans and conquered North America. The alliance had one more chance and commenced Operation AntiArctica. Their amphibious invasion of North America ended in disaster as everyone mixed up the times. The penguins easily conquered the rest of the world and now sent every human to the concentration camps, except for a handful like me and Lucille.

We were originally were planning to assassinate the Supreme Penguin Overlord to cause social unrest but stupid Lucille stepped on the alarm sensor. We run towards the hallway as the penguins waddle quickly for us. The hallway had three doors, one to the Supreme Overlord, one to the plaza center, and one to the basement. Unfortunately, we don’t know which door is which. We blindly run into the farthest door down the hallway and ended up in a regal room. Lucille quickly aims her gun and fires. We waited for a sound and heard a bird-like scream of anguish. We silently cheer but our hopes were soon squashed. On the floor is the body of one of the guards. Lucille quickly aims for another penguin and again, we heard a bloody scream.

As the body fell, the penguin guards burst through the door behind us. As they apprehend us, we all realize we finally hit the Supreme Overlord. The angry guards throws us into the van as they begin their long trek towards Antarctica. We were lucky enough to have a TV on board to watch the current news. As the dramatic music plays, the reporter looks frantic and pale.

“Recent reports of the Humans killed our Supreme Overlord are confirmed. Unfortunately, there is no current heir to the throne and the fate of our existence is at stake. Penguin politicians scramble to find a replacement as time is running out before the humans get any ideas. With no leader, the criminals like humans and rogue penguins will destroy our empire. More to this breaking news.” We were happy we have successfully completed our mission. Unfortunately, we were going to a concentration camp. Our next plan is to free the prisoners to regain the land we lost. Three hours passed and we are rudely awakened by the penguin guard.

“You! Get your butt over here!” he yells. We could feel the antarctic breeze flood the van. We step out into a landscape covered with snow. Lucille spots a disturbing patch of red snow that has a long path towards nowhere. The guard uses that same trail and we end up at a dead human corpse.

“Dumb escapee,” the guard mutters. We continue in the same direction until we approach a menacing looking structure. We are at the dreaded Antarctic concentration camp.
