UK Training Session – Results

Hey Ice Warriors,

Today we logged onto Sub Zero for a training session. We maxed 19 and averaged 14. Decent work IW!

This is not our best weekend event and I know we can do better. You need to start attending events and recruiting more. I know we’ve been in a slump lately but all I ask you is to start attending battles and recruit. There will be promotions, memberships and temp mod for those troops who work hard. I know we can be the number 1 army again but all we need is YOUR dedication and loyalty.

Thanks to Ghost for the pics.

Second on Top 10

Hello Ice Warriors,

Today the CPA Central Top 10 was released, and unfortunately Ice Warriors were not first 😦

But don’t worry – this is actually good. We’ve fallen quite a bit. We may be the second place army but we didn’t do well this week. So should we just give up, get worse, maybe move to another army? No. We need to get back on our feet and throw DCP from their first place position.

Ice Warriors, now is the time we excel. Now is the time we grow. Now is the time we become the strongest army again.

Let this be a wake-up call for you all to start improving this army, because Ice Warriors, we are the best.

Unscheduled UK Event

Hello Ice Warriors,

Today we had an unscheduled UK event where we maxed and averaged sizes of 10. It wasn’t a great event, but it was good training for our moderators who led most of the event.

How did you discover armies?

Hello Ice Warriors,

First things first, today is my two year anniversary of joining armies! It’s been a crazy ride, and I’ve loved every part of it – especially the last 3 weeks in Ice Warriors.

Whilst I was thinking about this, I wondered how all of you found armies. Did you find it on twitter, Club Penguin, a xat chat, the Penguin Lodge chat? I personally found it through a CP Blog which had the Nachos army on their blogroll.

So, tell me how you found armies in the comments below. Most of you found it through CP recruiting, but I’m interested to see what some of you older members of the community have to say, as CP recruiting only became big in Summer 2013. And was Ice Warriors your first army, or was it something else?

The day you know…

To CPAC: Please post this, because its just a bit important, thanks. [Pretty please?]

This is based on a true story of struggle, stress and how l feel over the cp armies communities. [Dont delete this]

Hi Ice Warriors,

I am posting this because l am basically retiring on May-Jun because I have a lot of issues about life and l really need to focus on with my life with friends and family about the stuff that l need to do. Im saying this because l am getting tired of dramas over the cp armies, every armies l joined – the drama comes and its too much. I usually get stressed out easily when that happens. Reblog: Waddle On: A Club Penguin Documentary

Hey Ice Warriors,

SUB ZERO, Club Penguin IWNH HQ –

Carphon has made an interesting (and lengthy!) post about Club Penguin’s beginning, its changes over the years, and the community. I wanted to share it with all the readers of the Ice Warriors.

Club Penguin Lays Off Many Employees

Hey Ice Warriors,

SUB ZERO, Club Penguin IWNH HQ –

If you need any more reason as to why private servers are partially ruining Club Penguin, here’s one: due to a steep decline in membership sales, Club Penguin has had to lay off many employees across their Kelowna and Los Angeles offices, and completely shut down their office in Brighton, England. Yikes.

According to Castanet, 30 jobs were cut at their Kelowna office, and more than that at the Los Angeles division, meaning at least 60 employees have lost their jobs – and that’s without counting all the employees that worked at the Brighton office.

Disney Interactive, the company behind Club Penguin, had issued the following statement to Castanet about the lay offs:

“Disney Interactive continually looks to find ways to create efficiencies and streamline our operations. As part of this ongoing process, we are consolidating a small number of teams and are undergoing a targeted reduction in workforce.”

This is not the first time employees of Club Penguin have been laid off. Four years ago, in June 2011, it was announced that some employees had been laid off and got fired.

According to one of the employees who lost their job, the sales of membership are way down and the company isn’t doing well.

Club Penguin was started in Kelowna in 2005 and was purchased by Disney Online Studios in 2007 for $350 million.

Club Penguin Employees loosing their job! Shame.

Bye for now,
